For rent, our beautiful and unique family holiday home in Ouddorp, suitable for max. 8 adults + 2 kids and located 1 kilometer from the beach and a 10-minute bike ride from the village.
The house is located about two hundred meters from the public road and can be reached via a its own driveway.
Detached, enormous garden (1 hectares) with trees and grass, bordered by "schurvelingen" (little dikes) and a ditch, an ideal and relaxing place to be together with your family and friends.
Realm
The veranda covered with various climbing plants is a nice place to relax in the filtered sunlight; but it is also certainly bearable on hot days under the many trees.
Long summer evenings on the terrace overlooking the garden, eating at the spacious dining table, whether or not from the pizza oven or BBQ, it's all possible.
In the garden there is ample opportunity to play football, laze in the hammock under the tree or cool off in the stock tank (round swimming pool with diameter of 2,4m and 60cm deep, wood-fired) or under the outdoor shower, and there is also various play equipment for the little ones. Rabbits and pheasants can be found regularly (sometimes a deer) and many birds can be heard, even early in the morning.
No sun or bad weather? Relax in the lounge, with the heater on and some music playing. Read or watch a movie. A wide choice in the games cupboard, books on the windowsill, something for everyone. Fancy cooking extensively? That will certainly work in the well-equipped kitchen.
Design
The house is based on a design from Getaway Projects and further developed by ourselves into what it is today. After a long period of preparation and hard work, the house was completed at the end of 2023.
The design has a special size with a length of 19m and a width of 4.3m. By using glass over the entire length (both on the ground floor and in the bedrooms on the first floor), a strong outside-inside feeling is created and you have a wide view of the garden everywhere in the house.
Sustainability was taken into account when building the house. The house is gas-free and has solar panels that supply the heat pump (for underfloor heating/hot water), air conditioning and charging station. We also collect rainwater to flush the toilets more often.
All amenities and comfort are provided to ensure you have a completely carefree holiday:
- 10-person holiday home (8 adults + 2 children)
- 160 m2 of floor space, in the special form of 19m in length and over 4.3m width, facing south.
- Bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms (180x200cm) and 1 quadruple bedroom with double bed (160x200cm) and children's bunk bed (2x 80x170cm).
- All bedrooms have fixed built-in beds with Emma mattresses and organic bedding from Beddinghouse. From your bed you have a view over the garden and an door to the balcony.
- The house has two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a spacious shower-bath. In addition, both have a sink and toilet.
- To sit comfortably with 10 people, there is a lowered seating area with an 8-meter lounge sofa and Modivar wood stove from Dik Geurts.
- There is a beamer in the lounge for watching Netflix and you can enjoy Sonos sound equipment.
- The large kitchen is fully equipped with Bora induction hob, Quooker, Miele dishwasher and oven, Liebherr refrigerator and freezer, Nespresso and Moccamaster and has all the necessities for delicious cooking.
- The utility room has a sink, Miele washing machine and dryer, and ironing & drying supplies.
- There is a large terrace facing south and west, with dining tables, lounge sofas, fire pit, pizza oven and BBQ.
- Large garden for games and sports, including sandpit, swing, football goal and trampoline.
- To cool off there is a stock tank from Tankkd (round swimming pool with diameter of 2,4m and depth of 60cm, wood-fired) and an outdoor shower.
